French Onion Pasta

This is the viral TikTok sensation that you need to try! It’s a mashup of two comfort food faves—pasta and French onion soup—all in one pot. Epicure’s here to make sure you’re getting that caramelized onion flavour without chopping a thing—goodbye, onion tears! Pro tip: choose beef broth for that extra authentic oomph.

Ingredients
Preparation
  1. In Sauté Pan over medium-high heat, add rigatoni, broth, dip mix, and vinegar.
  2. Cover; cook 14–16 min, stirring occasionally, or until pasta is al dente. Reduce heat to medium if liquid is bubbling too vigorously.
  3. If pasta is not cooked within 16 min, add a bit more broth, cover, and cook an additional 1–2 min. If there is too much water left over when the pasta is done, uncover and cook a few more minutes to let excess liquid evaporate.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in cream and cheese until cheese is melted.
